Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information WrestleSeek (wrestleseek.com) collects when you visit, why, and the choices you have. If you have any question, email [email protected].

The short version

You do not need an account to use WrestleSeek, and we do not ask for your name, email or phone number. We keep as little information as possible. Advertising on the site is provided by Google, which uses cookies as described below.

Information we collect

  • Hosting and security: the site runs on Cloudflare. Like any website, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic browser information to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.
  • Visitor statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.
  • Predictions polls: when you vote, your browser gets a random ID in a cookie (ws_voter, kept for one year) so each person counts once per match. Your IP address is used for a short time to stop spam votes. We do not know who you are from this.
  • Match ratings: when you rate a match, your rating is saved with the same random ID (ws_voter), so you can change it and each person counts once. Your IP address is used in a scrambled (hashed) form for a short time to stop spam.
  • Games against a friend: when you create or join a game, the name you type, the character and colour you pick, and your answers are sent to our game server so the match can be played. Old games are deleted automatically after about a day.

Information stored only on your device

Some settings and game details are saved in your own browser (local storage), not on our servers: your light or dark theme, sound on or off, the name and character you last used in a game, your best scores, and which quiz questions you have already seen. You can remove them at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Advertising

WrestleSeek uses Google AdSense to show ads.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites.
  • Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to WrestleSeek and other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info or, in Europe, at youronlinechoices.eu.
  • Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown.

Embedded content and links

Some stories include posts embedded from X (Twitter). Embedded content behaves as if you visited that website, and it may collect data and set cookies under its own privacy policy. Links to other websites, including merchandise stores, are covered by those websites' own policies. Some merchandise links may earn us a commission.

Children

WrestleSeek is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your choices and rights

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and clear the site's local storage at any time. Because we do not keep accounts or profiles, we usually hold no personal information about you.
